Hipotecaria Nacional to sell Ps. 1.5 billion of 28-day certificados bursatiles

New York, Jan. 17 - Hipotecaria Nacional SA de CV Sofol plans to sell Ps. 1.5 billion of 28-day certificados bursatiles (/mxA-1+/F1+(mex) on Wednesday.

The maturity date is Feb 16, 2006.

Casa de Bolsa BBVA Bancomer SA de CV is the auction agent for the transaction.

The issue number for the 28-day issue is 041 in Hipotecaria's current certificados bursatiles program.

The settlement is scheduled for Thursday.

The issuer, based in Mexico City, is a specialized mortgage lending institution.
