Hipotecaria Nacional to sell Ps. 999 million 28-day certificados bursatiles

New York, Oct. 18 - Hipotecaria Nacional SA de CV Sofol plans to sell Ps. 999 million 28-day short-term certificados bursatiles (/mxA-1+/F1+(mex) on Wednesday.

The maturity date is Nov. 17, 2005.

Casa de Bolsa BBVA Bancomer SA de CV is the auction agent for the transaction.

The issue number for the 28-day issue is 029 in Hipotecaria's certificados bursatiles program. The settlement is scheduled for Thursday.

The issuer, based in Mexico City, is a specialized mortgage lending institution.
