Fitch rates American Airlines notes B+
Fitch Ratings said it assigned a rating of B+ with recovery rating of RR4 to the senior unsecured notes to be issued by American Airlines Group Inc.
The issuer default ratings for American Airlines Group, American Airlines, Inc., US Airways Group, Inc. and US Airways, Inc. are unchanged at B+ with a stable outlook.
The group intends to issue at least $500 million in senior unsecured notes.
The proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.
The notes will feature a five-year tenor and will be fully and unconditionally guaranteed by American Airlines, US Airways Group and US Airways, Fitch said.
The notes will be rank pari passu with all current and future senior unsecured indebtedness of the issuer and all guarantors, the agency said.
