Hines Nurseries granted exclusivity extension to complete sale process

Savannah, Ga., March 10 - Hines Nurseries LLC was granted a four-month extension to its exclusive periods for filing and soliciting votes on a plan of liquidation, according to a Thursday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The company's exclusive plan-filing period was extended to June 9 from Feb. 9 and the solicitation period to Aug. 8 from April 10.

When requesting the extension, Hines Nurseries said it hopes to be able to file a plan after completing its auction and sale process. The auction is scheduled for Feb. 25 and the sale hearing for Feb. 28.

The company said the exclusivity extension would allow it to complete the sale process.

Hines Nurseries, an Irvine, Calif., commercial nursery operation, filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 12. The case was filed under the name Consolidated Horticulture Group LLC. The Chapter 11 case number is 10-13308.
