Columbus, Ohio, July 9 - Mexico's America Movil SAB de CV sold $2 billion senior unsecured bonds (A2/A-/A) in two tranches, according to a market source.
The Mexico City-based telecommunications company priced $1.25 billion 3 1/8% bonds due 2022 at 99.49 to yield 3.185%, or Treasuries plus 168 basis points.
A $750 million tranche of 4 3/8% bonds due 2042 priced at 99.244 to yield 4.482%, or 188 bps over Treasuries.
Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley are the bookrunners for the Securities and Exchange Commission-registered deal.
Proceeds will be used to repay debt.
