S&P: America Movil notes A-

Standard & Poor's said it assigned an A- rating to America Movil SAB de CV's €1.0 billion fixed-rate senior unsecured notes due 2019 and its ₤500 million fixed-rate senior unsecured notes due 2026.

The proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, including capital expenditures.

Its Mexican wireless subsidiary, Radiomovil Dipsa SA de CV, will not guarantee the notes.

The ratings reflect its strong business risk profile, which is based on the company's leading position in the Latin American telecom industry, solid profitability and an expectation that it will maintain its robust cash flow generation despite intense competition in some markets, S&P said.

Partly offsetting these factors are its somewhat concentrated cash flow generation and more stringent regulation in Mexico, the agency said.
