New Issue: Mexico's America Movil sells $500 million bonds due 2015 to yield 5.835%

New York, Oct. 28 - America Movil SA de CV sold $500 million of bonds due January 2015 (Baa1/BBB-/BBB) Thursday at 99.346 with a 5¾% coupon to yield 5.835%, or 179 basis points over Treasuries, according to a market source.

Proceeds from the sale will be used for capital expenditures.

Citigroup ran the Rule 144A/Regulation S deal, which has registration rights.

America Movil, based in Mexico City, is a mobile telephone company.
