hhgregg reports zero operating income or net sales for July

Pittsburgh, Aug. 30 – hhgregg, Inc. reported zero operating income, net sales and net income for July, the same as in June, according to its monthly operating report filed Wednesday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

In addition, the company had no cash in July or June.

The Gregg Appliances, Inc. debtor saw a $3.44 million operating loss and $3.91 million net loss for July on negative $1,000 in net sales.

Gregg Appliances listed $501,000 in cash as of July 31, down from $605,000 at June 30.

In comparison, Gregg Appliances saw a $9.61 million operating loss and $9.9 million net loss for June on negative $414,000 in net sales

Meanwhile, the HHG Distributing LLC debtor also showed no operating income, net income, sales or cash for July or June.

hhgregg is an Indianapolis-based specialty retailer of consumer electronics and home appliances. The company filed for bankruptcy on March 6 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Indiana under Chapter 11 case number 17-01302.
