hhgregg posts zero operating income or net sales for month of June

Pittsburgh, Aug. 7 – hhgregg, Inc. reported zero operating income, net sales and net income for June, according to its monthly operating report filed Monday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

In comparison, hhgregg posted a $42.33 million operating loss for May on $36.31 million in net sales.

The net loss for May was $96.07 million.

In addition, the company had no cash as of June 30, down from $2.48 million at the end of May.

The Gregg Appliances, Inc. debtor saw a $9.61 million operating loss and $9.9 million net loss for June on negative $414,000 in net sales

Gregg Appliances listed $605,000 in cash as of June 30.

The HHG Distributing LLC debtor also showed no operating income, net income, sales or cash for the month.

hhgregg is an Indianapolis-based specialty retailer of consumer electronics and home appliances. The company filed for bankruptcy on March 6 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Indiana under Chapter 11 case number 17-01302.
