S&P raises Hexcel

Standard & Poor's said it raised its ratings, including the corporate credit to BB from BB-, on Hexcel Corp.

The outlook is stable.

According to the agency, the upgrade is based on improving credit protection measures, with further gains expected, as Hexcel benefits from a generally favorable industry environment, lower debt and increasing operating efficiency.

The ratings on Hexcel reflect participation in the cyclical and competitive commercial aerospace industry and a somewhat aggressive, but improving, financial profile, S&P said.
