Moody’s rates Ameren notes Baa1

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned a Baa1 senior unsecured rating to Ameren Corp.’s senior notes due Nov. 15, 2020 and senior notes due Feb. 15, 2026.

The outlook is stable.

"The Baa1 rating assigned to the Ameren's senior notes reflects a stable regulatory environment in Missouri and a credit supportive regulatory environment in Illinois," Moody’s analyst Jairo Chung said in a news release.

"It also incorporates Ameren's stable credit metrics and improved business risk profile."
