Abbott Laboratories talks three-part notes offer for Thursday pricing

Virginia Beach, March 5 – Abbott Laboratories set price talk for a planned three-part offering of senior notes (A2/A+/) on Thursday, according to an informed source and a 424B3 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

A tranche of notes due 2020 is talked in the 60 basis points area over Treasuries while a tranche due 2022 is talked in the 80 bps area over Treasuries.

Talk for a tranche of notes due 2025 is set in the area of Treasuries plus 100 bps.

The bookrunners are Barclays, BofA Merrill Lynch, J.P. Morgan Securities LLC and Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC.

BNP Paribas Securities Corp. is an additional bookrunner for the 2020 notes, Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. is an additional bookrunner for the 2025 notes and Societe Generale is an additional bookrunner for the notes due 2022.

The pharmaceutical health care products company is based in Abbott Park, Ill.
