Heartland Publications reports $42.59 million February net loss

Pittsburgh, March 23 - Heartland Publications, LLC reported a $42.59 million net loss for the period of Feb. 1 to Feb. 28 on $3.79 million in revenues, according to its monthly operating report filed Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
The figures showed a decline from the $587,884 net profit posted for the period of Dec. 21 to Jan. 31 on revenues of $5.24 million.
The company had $4.11 million of cash and cash equivalents at Feb. 28, up from $2.97 million at Jan. 31.
Heartland, a Clinton, Conn.-based newspaper operator, filed for bankruptcy on Dec. 21. Its Chapter 11 case number is 09-14459.
