S&P: HealthTronics unaffected
Standard & Poor's said that HealthTronics Inc.'s (BB-/stable) sale of its specialty vehicles division for $140 million to Oshkosh Truck Corp. has no immediate impact on HealthTronic's ratings.
The agency said that this niche business segment has provided revenue diversity but at the same time has historically exposed the company to fluctuating demand.
S&P said it expects the company to use a portion of the proceeds to pay down debt, which will provide some flexibility for anticipated acquisition activity going forward.
