Amcast reports $270,000 operating loss for March
New York, April 22 - Amcast Industrial Corp. reported an operating loss of $270,000 in March on sales of $13.34 million, according to its monthly operating report filed Friday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
The figures were worse than February when the company had an operating profit of $677,000.
The net loss for March was $2.41 million, worse than February's $2.03 million loss.
Cash at March 27 was $1.01 million up from $670,000 on Feb. 27.
Amcast, a Dayton, Ohio, manufacturer of plumbing and auto components, filed for Chapter 11 on Nov. 30, 2004. Its case number is 04-40504.
