Moody's assigns HealthPartners notes A2

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an A2 rating to HealthPartners, Inc.'s, proposed, $110 million of senior notes, series 2020, and affirmed the A2 ratings on HealthPartner's outstanding revenue bonds. The outlook has been revised to negative from stable.

“The revision of the outlook to negative reflects the expectation that profitability will remain constrained in fiscal 2020, following particularly modest margins in 2019. Profitability from the health plan is particularly modest, and is expected to come under additional pressure in 2020 due to the implementation of taxes mandated by the Affordable Care Act,” said Moody’s in a press release.
