By Andrea Heisinger

Omaha, Sept. 21 - HCC Insurance Holdings Inc. announced Friday it would withdraw a $300 million offering of 10-year senior notes.

The offering was announced Wednesday.

The decision to cancel the note offering will not affect redemption of the company's 2% convertible notes due 2021 or its ongoing operations, according to a press release from HCC.

Bookrunners on the Rule 144A offering were Citigroup Global Markets Inc. and Wachovia Capital Securities LLC.
