Fitch upgrades HCA notes

Fitch Ratings said it upgraded the rating on HCA Inc.'s senior unsecured notes to B+ with a recovery rating of RR4 from B with a recovery rating of RR5.

The outlook is stable.

The ratings reflect the company's recent balance sheet improvement and paydown of high-coupon second-lien secured debt, Fitch said.

Further deleveraging is expected to be nominal and acquisitions are expected to be the top priority for cash deployment, the agency said.

Fitch also said it anticipates continued robust cash generation for HCA despite recent weakness in organic operating trends in the for-profit hospital sector.
