Hawker Beechcraft operating loss narrows to $6.4 million in November

Pittsburgh, Dec. 26 - Hawker Beechcraft, Inc. posted a $6.4 million operating loss for November on total sales of $136.3 million, according to its monthly operating report filed on Dec. 26 with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

The figures showed improvement over the $25.2 million operating loss reported for October on total sales of $108.6 million.

The net income for November was $30.9 million, compared to a $44.1 million October net loss.

The company has reported cash and cash equivalents of $124.6 million as of Nov. 30, up from $102.3 million at the end of October.

Hawker Beechcraft is a Wichita, Kan.-based manufacturer of business, special mission, light attack and trainer aircraft. The company filed for bankruptcy on May 3, 2012. The Chapter 11 case number is 12-11873.
