Hartford Money Market HLS Fund extends zero 12b-1 fees for six months

By Toni Weeks

San Diego, Feb. 16 - The board of directors of the Hartford Money Market HLS Fund approved a six-month extension of the reduction of payment of 12b-1 distribution and service fees for class IB shares of the fund, according to a 497 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The 12b-1 fees are currently zero for the class IB shares. Hartford may be required to pay out of its own resources the equivalent of those fees to some financial intermediaries.

The board will reconsider the level of 12b-1 fees at its August 2012 meeting.

The fund's investment manager is Simsbury, Conn.-based Hartford Investment Financial Services, LLC.
