Hartford Advisers Fund to be renamed Hartford Balanced Fund April 30

San Diego, March 29 - The board of directors of the Hartford Mutual Funds, Inc. approved on March 27 a name change for the Hartford Advisers Fund, according to a 497 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Effective April 30, the fund's new name will be the Hartford Balanced Fund.

In connection with the name change and on the same date, Karen H. Grimes will be appointed portfolio manager of the fund, and Steven T. Irons will no longer serve as the fund's portfolio manager.

Simsbury, Conn.-based Hartford Investment Financial Services, LLC is the fund's investment adviser.
