Fitch upgrades Harley-Davidson

Fitch Ratings said it upgraded the issuer default ratings of Harley-Davidson, Inc. and subsidiary Harley-Davidson Financial Services, Inc. to A from A-.

In addition, the agency withdrew Harley-Davidson's senior unsecured rating, now that all of the motor company's senior unsecured debt has been repaid. Fitch does not expect the company to issue debt at the parent company level in the intermediate term.

Harley-Davidson Financial's senior unsecured rating was upgraded to A and its short-term rating was upgraded to F1.

The outlooks are stable.

Fitch said the upgrades reflect the motorcycle manufacturer's strengthened credit profile now that its restructuring is complete.
