HSBC plans four-year buffered AMPS with cap linked to Hang Seng China

Chicago, June 23 – HSBC USA Inc. plans to price 0% buffered Accelerated Market Participation Securities due July 2019 linked to the Hang Seng China Enterprises index, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus double any gain in the index, up to a maximum return of at least 65%. The exact cap will be set at pricing.

Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 15% and will be exposed to any losses beyond 15%.

HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. is the agent.

The notes will price in June and settle in July.

The Cusip number is 40433B3V8.
