New York, Oct. 25 - Barclays Bank plc priced $1 million of 0% capped market plus notes due May 2, 2012 linked to a basket of Asian indexes, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The basket includes the Hang Seng China Enterprises index with a 33% weight, the Kospi 200 index with a 25% weight, the MSCI Taiwan index with a 19% weight, the Hang Seng index with a 14% weight and the MSCI Singapore index with a 9% weight.
If the basket closes at or above the barrier level - 75% of the initial level - on each day during the life of the notes, the payout at maturity will be par plus the greater of the basket return and 6.05%.
Otherwise, the payout will be par plus the basket return with exposure to losses.
In either case, the payout is subject to a maximum return of 30%.
