Moody's rates Hancock debt Baa2

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned a Baa2 rating to subordinated debt issued by Hancock Holding Co. The outlook is stable.

The agency said the Baa2 rating reflects its normal notching practices, under which subordinated debt is typically rated one notch below an issuer's senior debt rating. Hancock has a Baa1 long-term issuer rating.
