Hancock Fabrics unsecured creditors committee appointed

Pittsburgh, April 5 - Hancock Fabrics, Inc.'s U.S. Trustee appointed the official committee of unsecured creditors for the company's Chapter 11 case, according to a Thursday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The committee is comprised of Eric D. Cotton of Developers Diversified Realty Corp., Beachwood, Ohio; Michael McDonagh of Janome America, Inc., Mahwah, N.J.; Mukesh Gupta of Silk Crafts Inc., New York; James E. Hankins II of Textile Creations, Inc., Hamilton, N.J.; and Jay Stein of West Broadway Book Distribution, LLC, New York.

Hancock Fabrics, a Baldwyn, Miss., specialty retailer of fabric and related home sewing and decorating accessories, filed for bankruptcy on March 21. Its Chapter 11 case number is 07-10353.
