Fitch rates Hana Bank bonds AAA(tha)

Fitch Ratings said it assigned a national long-term rating of AAA(tha) to Hana Bank's senior unsecured bonds of up to Thai baht 10 billion with a minimum maturity of three years.

The bank's long-term foreign-currency issuer default rating of A- is at the same level as Thailand's long-term local-currency issuer default rating of A-, which is correlated to AAA(tha) on the Thai national rating scale.

The bank's rating reflects an expectation of an extremely high probability of support from the South Korean government given its systemic importance as one of the major commercial banks in Korea.
