Gymboree elects not to make June 1 interest payment on 9 1/8% notes

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, June 1 – Gymboree Corp. elected not to make the interest payment due June 1 on its 9 1/8% senior notes due 2018, according to an 8-K filed Thursday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Gymboree said it will enter into a 30-day grace period during which it retains the right to pay the interest and thereby remain in compliance with the notes indenture.

Gymboree is a children’s apparel specialty retailer based in San Francisco.
