AMAG Pharmaceuticals on roadshow for $450 million eight-year notes

Portland, Ore., Aug. 5 – AMAG Pharmaceuticals Inc. began a roadshow on Wednesday for a $450 million offering of eight-year senior notes (B+), according to an informed source.

The roadshow wraps up on Aug. 12.

Jefferies LLC is the left bookrunner for the Rule 144A and Regulation S for life offering. Barclays is the joint bookrunner.

The notes become callable after three years at par plus 75% of the coupon

The Waltham, Mass.-based specialty pharmaceutical company plans to use the proceeds to help fund the acquisition of Cord Blood Registry, a stem cell collection and storage company serving pregnant women and their families, from GTCR for $700 million.
