Malaysia's Guinness Anchor plans to issue up to RM 500 million of commercial paper, MTNs

Madison, Wis., Nov. 28 - Guinness Anchor Bhd. announced that it plans to issue up to RM 500 million of commercial paper and/or medium-term notes. The Malaysia Securities Commission approved the proposed issuance on Friday.

Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Bhd. is the principal adviser, lead arranger, lead manager and bookrunner for the planned securities.

The commercial paper/MTN program has been assigned a rating of AAA by RAM Rating Services Bhd., according to the company announcement.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, including repayment of bank borrowings.

Guinness Anchor is a beer producer based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.
