Guggenheim Securities hires Burpee to energy investment banking group
Chicago, Oct. 10 – Guggenheim Securities announced the hiring of Alexander Burpee to its energy investment banking group, according to a press release.
Burpee joins as managing director in the firm’s Houston office.
He will be focused on providing strategic advice to upstream oil and gas clients.
He joins the firm from Citigroup, where he most recently served as a director in the North America upstream investment banking team. Prior to his time at Citigroup, Burpee spent five years at Jefferies where he was a senior vice president in the energy investment banking team.
Additionally, he has experience in technical roles with Schlumberger and Hess.
New York-based Guggenheim Securities is the investment banking and capital markets business of investment and advisory firm Guggenheim Partners.
