Guggenheim hires distressed credit trader Mullaly
New York, Jan. 4 – Guggenheim Securities said it has hired Simon Mullaly as a managing director to expand its fixed-income credit trading capabilities.
Mullaly was previously managing director and head of the European private credit trading group at Imperial Capital.
“We are excited to welcome Simon to Guggenheim,” said Mark Van Lith, co-chief executive officer of Guggenheim Securities, in a news release. “Simon has a long track record of being a leader in credit trading, particularly as it relates to distressed products. We look forward to Simon’s continued success at Guggenheim.”
Before Imperial Capital, Mullaly was founder and chief executive officer of Yorvik Partners, a European credit brokerage firm that specialized in esoteric credit products. He also managed credit trading desks for Deutsche Bank and Lehman Brothers in London. He began his career in leveraged credit at Goldman Sachs.
Mullaly will be based in New York.
New York-based Guggenheim Securities is the investment banking and capital markets business of investment and advisory firm Guggenheim Partners.
