Guggenheim Defined Portfolios Series 856 registers units

San Diego, Nov. 18 - Guggenheim Defined Portfolios, Series 856 has completed its initial registration in an S-6 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The trust consists of two portfolios: the Multiple Asset Portfolio Plus, Series 40 and the Diversified Income Wave Portfolio, Series 27.

The depositor is Lisle, Ill.-based Guggenheim Funds Distributors, Inc.
