Fitch rates Guatemala bonds BB

Fitch Ratings said it assigned a BB rating to Guatemala's $565 million of 7.05% notes due Oct. 4, 2032.

The bond rating is in line with Guatemala's long-term foreign-currency issuer default rating (IDR), which Fitch upgraded to BB from BB' on Feb. 16, 2023,” the agency said in a press release.

The proceeds will be used for general budgetary purposes.

The outlook is stable.
