New Issue: Guatemala issues $500 million 5¼% notes due 2029

Chicago, Aug. 10 – Guatemala tapped the international debt market for the 12th time, most recently for $500 million of 5¼% notes due 2029 (BB-), according to a press release.

Santander Investment Securities Inc. worked as the initial purchaser on the Rule 144A and Regulation S offering.

Proceeds, according to S&P Global Ratings, will be used for general budgetary purposes, including to refinance public debt.
