India’s GTL puts together committee to oversee debt restructuring

By Marisa Wong

Morgantown, W.Va., Oct. 20 – GTL Infrastructure Ltd. said its board of directors met on Thursday to discuss the role and scope of a special committee of directors.

The special committee consists of independent directors who will monitor and supervise the implementation of a strategic debt restructuring scheme outlined in September.

The strategic debt restructuring scheme involves, among other things, a conversion of debt into equity to reduce the company’s existing debt to more sustainable levels.

Mumbai-based GTL Infrastructure provides telecom infrastructure to multiple service providers.
