GSI Group's disclosure statement granted bankruptcy court approval

Charlotte, N.C., Jan. 8 - GSI Group, Inc.'s disclosure statement was approved, according to a Friday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
A hearing on confirmation of the company's first modified joint plan of reorganization will be held on Feb. 26.
Bedford, Mass.-based GSI makes precision motion component products, lasers and laser-based manufacturing systems. The company filed for bankruptcy on Nov. 20 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. Its Chapter 11 case number is 09-14109.
