GS Finance plans digital index-linked notes linked to Euro Stoxx

Olympia, Wash., Jan. 14 – GS Finance Corp. plans to price 0% digital index-linked notes due Jan. 31, 2022 linked to the Euro Stoxx 50 index, according to a 424B2 with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the index return is flat or positive, the payout at maturity will be the greater of $1,145 per $1,000 of notes and par plus the return.

If the index falls by up to 25%, the payout will be par.

Otherwise, investors will lose 1% for each 1% decline from the initial level.

The notes will be guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.

Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC is the underwriter.

The notes are expected to price on Jan. 24.

The Cusip number is 40056Y6U3.
