New Issue: GS Finance sells $1.04 million absolute return trigger notes on S&P 500

Morgantown, W.Va., May 21 – GS Finance Corp. priced $1.04 million of 0% absolute return trigger notes due Nov. 3, 2021 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.

A barrier event will occur if on any day during the life of the notes the index closes below the lower barrier, 77% of the initial level, or above the upper barrier, 123% of the initial level.

If a barrier event has not occurred, the payout at maturity will be par plus the absolute value of the index return.

If a barrier event has occurred, the payout will be $1,030 per $1,000 principal amount.

Goldman Sachs & Co. is the underwriter.
