New Issue: GS Finance prices $325,000 notes due 2020 linked to S&P 500

New York, Jan. 16 – GS Finance Corp. priced $325,000 of notes due Jan. 29, 2020 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.

If the index return is positive or if the index falls by more than 17.15% the payout at maturity will be par.

If the index return is negative and falls no more than 17.15%, the payout will be par plus the absolute value of the index return.

JPMorgan is the agent.
