New Issue: GS Finance sells $279,000 digital notes due 2021 on Russell 2000

Olympia, Wash., Dec. 27 – GS Finance Corp. priced $279,000 of 0% digital notes due Dec. 24, 2021 linked to the Russell 2000 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.
If the index return is at least 85% of the initial level, the payout at maturity will be the threshold settlement amount of $1,190 per $1,000 principal amount.
Otherwise, investors will lose 1% for every 1% decline in the index beyond 15%.
Goldman Sachs & Co. is the underwriter.
