Goldman plans three-year leveraged buffered notes tied to S&P 500

Chicago, Dec. 14 – GS Finance Corp. plans to price 0% leveraged buffered notes due Jan. 6, 2022 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The payout at maturity will be par plus triple any index gain, up to a maximum settlement amount of $1,250 to $1,280 for each $1,000 principal amount.
Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 15% and will lose 1% for each 1% decline beyond 15%.
The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.
Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC is the underwriter.
The notes will price on Jan. 2.
The Cusip number is 40056EHD3.
