New Issue: GS Finance prices $4.90 million trigger notes linked to Russell 2000

Morgantown, W.Va., Aug. 13 – GS Finance Corp. priced $4,897,000 of 0% trigger notes due Aug. 21, 2019 linked to the Russell 2000 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes will be guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.

If the final index level is greater than or equal to 80% of the initial index level, the payout at maturity will be par plus the greater of the index return, capped at 12.15%, and zero.

If the final index level is less than 80% of the initial index level, investors will lose 1% for every 1% that the final index level is less than the initial index level.

Goldman, Sachs & Co. is the underwriter with JPMorgan as placement agent.
