GS Finance plans buffered basket-linked notes due 2019 on three ETFs

New York, June 28 – GS Finance Corp. plans to price 0% buffered basket-linked notes due Oct. 17, 2019 linked to an unequally weighted basket of exchange-traded funds made up of the iShares MSCI EAFE exchange-traded fund with a 53% weight, the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets exchange-traded fund with a 34% weight and the iShares MSCI EAFE Small Cap exchange-traded fund with a 13% weight, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus any basket gain, up to a maximum settlement amount of $1,217.50 for each $1,000 principal amount.

Investors will receive par if the basket falls by up to 10% and will lose 1% for every 1% decline beyond 10%.

The notes will be guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.

Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC is the underwriter.

The notes will price on July 11 and settle on July 16.

The Cusip number is 40055QHY1.
