Goldman plans leveraged buffer notes with cap tied to iShares MSCI EM

Chicago, Feb. 13 – GS Finance Corp. plans to price 0% leveraged buffered notes due Feb. 27, 2020 linked to the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets exchange-traded fund, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus 1.5 times any fund gain, up to a maximum settlement amount of $1,250 to $1,280 for each $1,000 principal amount.

Investor will receive par if the fund falls by up to 10% and will lose 1% for each 1% decline beyond 10%.

The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.

Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC is the agent.

The notes will price on Feb. 22.

The Cusip number is 40055AJK4.
