New Issue: GS Finance sells $1.21 million iShares MSCI EAFE ETF-linked notes

Morgantown, W.Va., Jan. 30 – GS Finance Corp. priced $1,207,000 of 0% notes due Jan. 29, 2024 linked to the iShares MSCI EAFE exchange-traded fund, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.

If the ETF return is zero or positive, the payout at maturity will be the greater of the threshold settlement amount, which is $1,530 per $1,000 principal amount, and par plus the ETF return.

If the ETF falls by up to 30%, the payout will be par. If the ETF falls by more than 30%, investors will be fully exposed to the decline.
