GS Finance plans digital notes linked to Dow Jones industrial average

Tacoma, Wash., Dec. 1 – GS Finance Corp. plans to price 0% digital notes due Dec. 24, 2021 linked to the Dow Jones industrial average, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The notes will be guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.
If the index return is greater than or equal to negative 15%, the payout at maturity will be equal to the maximum settlement amount, which is expected to be $1,185 to $1,215 per $1,000 principal amount of notes and will be set at pricing. Otherwise, investors will lose 1% for every 1% that the index declines beyond 15%.
Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC is the underwriter.
The notes will price Dec. 21.
The Cusip number is 40055A6P7.
