GS Finance to price leveraged buffered notes due 2020 on Euro Stoxx

Morgantown, W.Va., Oct. 20 – GS Finance Corp. plans to price 0% leveraged buffered index-linked notes due July 30, 2020 tied to the Euro Stoxx 50 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.

If the index return is positive, the payout at maturity will be par plus 1.4 to 1.5 times the index gain. Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 15% and lose 1% for every 1% decline in the index beyond 15%.

Goldman, Sachs & Co. is the agent.

The notes will price on Oct. 25.

The Cusip number is 40054LVZ4.
