GS Finance to price five-year market-linked notes tied to Russell 2000

Morgantown, W.Va., Sept. 8 – GS Finance Corp. plans to price 0% market-linked notes due Sept. 15, 2022 linked to the Russell 2000 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes will be guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.

If the index return is positive, the payout at maturity will be par plus the index gain, subject to a cap of 29%. If the index finishes flat or falls, the payout will be par.

Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC is the underwriter with Morgan Stanley Wealth Management as dealer.

The notes will price on Sept. 11.

The Cusip number is 36253M703.
