GS Finance plans to price five-year buffered notes linked to S&P 500

Morgantown, W.Va., June 26 – GS Finance Corp. plans to price 0% buffered index-linked notes due June 30, 2022 tied to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.

If the index return is positive, the payout at maturity will be par plus the index return. Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 25% and lose 1% for every 1% decline in the index beyond 25%.

Goldman Sachs & Co. is the agent.

The notes will price on June 27.

The Cusip number is 40054LE67.
